Brandon Pope, Vice President/Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller
Brandon Pope, Vice President/Chief Accounting Officer and Corporate Controller, joined the senior management team at Bridgepoint Education, a provider of innovative solutions that advance learning, in September, 2008. He is responsible for all Bridgepoint accounting functions as well as student accounts, payroll, purchasing, corporate tax, financial reporting and financial planning and analysis.
Mr. Pope's professional track record boasts more than 20 years of increased responsibility in the accounting arena. Before joining Bridgepoint Education, Mr. Pope served eight years as Assistant Vice President and Assistant Controller for Corinthian Colleges, Inc. Prior to his experience in higher education, Mr. Pope served as Assistant Controller for Stater Brothers Markets, Senior Manager of Financial Reporting and Control for Ingram Micro, Inc., and Accounting Supervisor for Bumble Bee Seafoods, Inc.
Mr. Pope embodies Bridgepoint Education’s commitment to enriching lives in the community by serving on the board of directors of the Christian Credit Counselors (CCC), a non-profit organization located in Carlsbad, California.
Mr. Pope earned both his MBA and BS in Business from University of Phoenix. He is certified as a Public Accountant in the State of California, and is also a member of the Orange County Chapter of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
